A contract is a driver, not just a vehicle.
Councils and schools buy reliability. The vehicle is the easy part.
We hold contracts with Bolton Council and Bury Council, and we run term-time journeys the same way every week: the same driver, the same vehicle, the same pickup order. Familiarity is the whole point on a school run, and it matters most for the children who find change hardest.
What a school or council gets
- A named, DBS checked driver kept on the run for the length of the contract, not a different face each morning.
- One agreed price per journey, invoiced monthly, so the figure in the budget is the figure on the invoice.
- A direct number, answered by someone who knows the route, when a pickup changes or the weather turns.
- Cover arranged in advance when a driver is off, briefed on the route before the day rather than on it. Cover drivers are DBS checked on the same basis.
- Wheelchair accessible vehicles where the route needs one. Tell us the chair type and any transfer needs and we will confirm what we can take.
Regular work we already run
- Home to school and home to college journeys, term time
- Sports fixtures, away matches and tournament days
- Trips, museum and theatre visits, and residential drop-offs
- Swimming, forest school and other timetabled weekly runs
Asking us to quote
Send the postcodes in pickup order, the times at each end, the days of the week and how many seats you need. If it is a SEND route, tell us what the passenger needs, including wheelchair access, harnesses or a passenger assistant, and we will say plainly whether we are the right operator for it rather than take the work and find out later.
Tell us the run and we will price it.
Send the route, the days and the number of seats. We come back with a fixed figure per journey, and a named driver for the contract.
The questions we get asked most.
Which councils do you hold contracts with?
Bolton Council and Bury Council. Both appear on the published approved contractor registers for passenger transport.
Will it be the same driver every day?
Yes. A named driver is kept on the run for the length of the contract. When that driver is off, cover is arranged in advance and briefed on the route beforehand.
Can you take a route mid-term?
Usually yes, if the vehicle and driver are free at those times. Send the route and the times and we will tell you straight away rather than keep you waiting.
How is a school contract invoiced?
One agreed price per journey, invoiced monthly. The figure does not move unless the route does.
Are your drivers DBS checked?
Yes. Every driver is DBS checked, including the drivers who cover a route when the regular driver is off.
Do you have wheelchair accessible vehicles?
Yes. Tell us the chair type and whether the passenger travels in the chair or transfers, and we will confirm which vehicle suits the route.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes, as a licensed PSV and private hire operator, with DBS checked drivers and vehicles on a scheduled inspection programme. We will send the paperwork a school or council needs on request.
