Bux Travel Minibus hire to Liverpool

Minibus hire to Liverpool, with a driver.

Around thirty five miles: the M61 to the M6 to the M62. Far enough that the return leg is the whole decision, because nobody in your group wants to be driving back down the M62 at one in the morning.

Running into Liverpool

Over to Merseyside, and back the same night.

A Bolton operator, priced door to door in both directions, with the waiting time built in.

Liverpool is the run where the maths changes. Manchester is close enough that people sometimes chance it with cars; Liverpool is an hour each way on three motorways, which means somebody is giving up their evening to drive, or the group is paying twice for taxis and a train.

We quote it as one journey with the waiting built in. The driver takes you over, waits or comes back at an agreed time, and brings the same group home. There is no meter running while you are inside the ground or the arena.

Football at Anfield and Goodison

Home fixtures, and away days for supporters travelling from Bolton and the towns around it. The streets near both grounds are residents’ parking and road closures on a match day, so we agree a drop-off and a collection point a short walk out rather than pretending we can stop at the turnstile. Give us the kick-off time and we will work the departure back from it.

Aintree and race days

The Grand National meeting is three days of the year when the car parks and the exit roads are the real event. A minibus solves both ends of it: everyone arrives together, and everyone leaves together at a time you set, which on a race day is worth more than the mileage suggests. Dress accordingly and we will drop you as close as the stewards allow.

Arena nights, theatre and comedy

The M&S Bank Arena and the waterfront venues, the Empire, the Philharmonic and the Cavern Quarter. Same shape as Manchester but with an hour of motorway on the end, which is exactly why groups book a vehicle instead of arguing about who is driving.

Birthdays, hen and stag groups

Concert Square, Bold Street, the Baltic Triangle. We are a licensed operator rather than a party bus, so the vehicle is a clean minibus with a professional driver and we expect it back in the same condition — beyond that it is an ordinary booking. Most groups want the same two things: everybody arrives at once, and there is a known way home.

The cruise terminal and the ferry

Liverpool Cruise Terminal and the Pier Head for the Isle of Man crossing. Cruise luggage is bigger than flight luggage and there is usually more of it, so tell us the number of cases as well as the number of people — sixteen seats does not mean sixteen large suitcases as well. We drop at the terminal and we can collect on the return date.

Days out, school and community trips

The Albert Dock, the museums and galleries, the Beatles attractions, Liverpool ONE and both cathedrals. We hold passenger transport contracts with Bolton and Bury Councils and every driver is DBS checked, including drivers covering a route, so school and community group trips are ordinary work rather than something we take on as a favour.

The rest of what we run

Alongside city runs we do airport transfers, school and college transport, weddings and days out and sports travel. If you already know the size you need, the 16 seater is the one most groups end up in. We also have local pages for Bury, Horwich, Westhoughton and Farnworth.

Next step

Tell us the date, the group and the time you need to be there.

We will come back with one fixed figure for the whole journey, both ways, usually within 30 minutes.

Before you book

Liverpool questions we get asked most.

Are you a Liverpool company?

No. We are based in Bolton, in Greater Manchester, and Merseyside is a route we run regularly rather than a local patch. In practice that changes nothing except short notice: the more warning you give us, the more likely a vehicle is free.

How long is Bolton to Liverpool?

Roughly an hour on a clear run, up three motorways. Match days, race days and the Friday afternoon M62 are not clear runs, so we set the departure time from when you need to arrive rather than from an average.

Can you take us to an away game and bring us back?

Yes. We agree a drop-off point and a collection point in advance, both a short walk from the ground, because the streets around Anfield and Goodison are closed or residents-only on a match day.

Do you cover Aintree on race days?

Yes, including the Grand National meeting. It books up a long way in advance, so ask early rather than in the same week.

Can you take us to the cruise terminal?

Yes, and we can collect on the return date too. Tell us the number of suitcases when you ask for the price, because cruise luggage decides the vehicle more often than the headcount does.

Do you take hen and stag groups?

Yes, on the same terms as any other booking. We are a licensed operator with a professional driver, not a party bus, and we ask that the vehicle comes back as it went out.

What about Liverpool John Lennon Airport?

Airport work is handled differently, with the flight tracked and the pickup time set from the flight rather than the postcode. See our airport transfers page for how that works.

How many seats do you have?

Vehicles run from 4 to 18 seats, always with a driver. Tell us the luggage as well as the headcount, because bags change which vehicle you need.
